have you guys heard about the recent 300,000,000 population bust (in the US and A)? why is everyone making such a big deal about it on
the news and stuff?

According to the Census Bureau's population clock, the number of people in USA will reach 300 millions on the 17th october. ... which is 100 milions more than in 1966. Bureau's predictions for 2043 say it will be 400 milions. This is (too) fast population growth and not typical for rich counties. For example, Europe will lose more than 10 millions of their population because of the negative pop. growth (the same is happening to Japan). It is namely typical for rich countries that women get educated first, then have children (in EU adverage age when woman has first child is 30!), and when they have children, they have one or maximum 2.
In America imigrants are ones that are solving population fertiliy.
I believe there experts make such big deal because such population expansion brings postitive and of course negative aspects...
population exapanse in USA is due to Hispanic imigration, next reason could be more religous society- (comparing to Europe majority).
The future will definitelly be even more ethnically mixed- especially Hispanic.
On the other hand fast population growth will have positive effect on slowing the pace at which Americans age- which is great comparing to Europe (less than 2 people will be working for one older that 65)
Increased popultion growth will also have negative effects: environmetal problems, employment problems (American working force is not cheap enough comparing to Chinese or poeple from third world contries, so all production is moving there) the problem is that working class is left without work. I believe this is the greatest problem that american politics will have to solve in the future.
However, the problems of population's growth are easier to deal that those with population decline.
