I found one article, describing a recipe for bronzing lotion, written by Anne Marie Faiola (hopefully no one will complaint over copyright)
You need following ingredients:
4.5 oz. jojoba
1.0 oz. Evening Primrose Oil
0.3 oz. emulsifying wax
0.2 oz. beeswax … great sunscreen- did you know?
8.0 oz. Distilled water … only distilled water- because of bacteria!
0.14 oz. Phenonip preservative or Germaben II
Micas: Cappuccino, Gold, Light Gold and Copper mica
Makes 14 oz. of homemade bronzing lotion
Here is what you need to do:
Step number 1: Add the emulsifying wax, beeswax, jojoba and evening primrose oil to either a double boiler or microwave safe cup.
Step number 2: Melt all the waxes and oils together. But do not to boil the product!
Step number 3: Add the distilled water to the heated oils and waxes.
Step number 4: Stir all ingredients well and combine the two bowls/mixing glasses.
Step number 5: Add the Phenonip.
Step number 6: Use a stick blender to emulsify and mix the oils and waxes.
You need to cool this product. And do not pour into glasses until you are certain that the lotion is fully blended, and will not separate.
Step number 7: only when you are certain the product is fully blended, add micas. Add less then you think you need to. You can always add more, right? The darker the skin tone, the more micas is added.
Step number 8: at the end blend with manually with spoon or similar.
I hope this will help.
