My brother is 15 and he is receding hairline. Our father is not bald, although our mom’s father is, and he says he started receding hairline at my brother’s age. My brother is very irritated by this situation: we talked, and I guess he understands that he’s got our mother’s genes, and like his granddad he’ll be eventually bald. What bothers him is the age, and I completely understand him. At this point, it is not visible that much, but if you pay close attention you can see it, although he makes a good job hiding it.
What can he do now? He is aware he can stop this process, but is there anything to be done to slow down the receding of my brother’s hairline?
I know there are some pills against hair loss on the market- do you know anyone or do you have personal experience with them? Is my brother too young for pills?

You have put it nicely yourself: receding hairline will not stop- it is in genes, and nothing can prevent it, but the process can be slowed down significantly.
There are few principles that your brother should follow: he shouldn’t brush his hair too often as brushing cause hair damage and causing it to break. He should use hair conditioner because it is easier to comb wet hair if using it. He should avoid rubbing wet hair with towel- just pat it. Wet hair is more fragile so rubbing hair damages it. He should use wide tooth comb. Plastic comb is better than wooden one.
Massage scalp when shampooing- first slowly, than fast, then gently, then more strong- massage is important part of the treatment.
Your brother is definitely too young for pills! Pills have side effect, especially for younger people that are still planning to reproduce! For this reason he should not consider that choice. He could talk to doctor but I am certain that s/he will not advise him on pills.

This is a link to TBC hair directory. http://www.topbeautycare.com/directory/directory.php?mode=view&hpr=Honey_Herbal_Mask_Against_Hair_Loss&d=23&sc=1
I found a recipe for honey herbal hair mask against hair loss. You’ll need 1 spoon honey, 1 spoon aloe juice, 1 spoon garlic juice. Mix all ingredients and keep herbal mixture can be kept in refrigerator, but before applying on hair, add one fresh yolk.
Herbal mask should be applied with gentle moves, without massaging mixture into scalp.
Apply mixture by combing hair on partings.
Wrap your hair into towel, and put over plastic bag.
Keep this way 20 minutes, and then wash off with neutral shampoo.
I hope this home remedy will help.
