For over five years derma peel has been used in spa centers all over Europe but only recently has it been proved by the Food and Drug Administration in the United States. None the less this procedure is becoming more and more popular. It even has its “pet” name the “lunchtime peel”. The reason it is called like this is because it is quickly done and after it you can go back to your everyday routine. Derma peel is a skin rejuvenating technique that is a combination of two other techniques the dermabrasion and chemical peel. It is a process that uses vacuum and pressure to move microscopic crystals over the skin surface. The time acquired for this procedure varies from 15-45 minutes and it should be repeated from tree to ten times, depending of the skin problem. After the treatment your skin will feel soft and yet firm. It is very useful in treating sun damaged skin, acne scars, age spots, fine wrinkles, enlarged pores etc. Derma peel is very recommendable to those who don’t want to get a laser treatment.
As for the side effects it is said that there are rare. Some redness may appear but it goes away very quickly. In most cases there are no side effects. The procedure acquires no anesthesia and gives you no discomfort. |
