It is well known that drinks, especially soft drinks, which contain lots of sugar and calories, cause weight gain. Diet drinks have the same effect.
American researches found out that people consuming diet drinks on daily bases are also prone to bigger body mass. And bigger body mass needs even bigger amounts of diet drinks. Besides, scientist have proven that artifical sweeteners (in diet drinks are artifical sweeteners), which are used as a substitute for natural sugar, increases apetite. And for small percentage of calories in this drinks, consumers think they drink more as usual. |
