I need advice. How do I determine what my skin on face is like, I mean which type. I think I have combined skin, but I am not sure. How do I discover this for sure? Pls, give me some homemade advice, I do not have money for beautician…. One more thing, as I said I think I have combined skin (am not sure)- is it better to use products created for combined skin, or should I use different products on different spots on my skin? For example, where skin is dry (on cheeks)- should I use cream for dry skin? and on forehead, which is quite oily, should I use cream for oily skin? Or easier, should I use cream for combined skin?
Thank you very much in advance! |

Ok, firstly, how to determine what skin type you have on face.
You have to wash your face with a skin cleanser, then rinse and pat dry. Do not apply anything on your face and wait one hour. Pay attention whether your skin on face feels tight.
After one hour press a separate piece of tissue onto each area of your face- on cheeks (center of cheeks), on chin, forehead (center and outer forehead) and on nose. Now, examine each tissue and see if there is any oil residue on each tissue. If there is this means you have oily skin on this certain face spot. Oil on each tissue indicates an oily skin type. If there is oil only on some tissues, this means you have combined skin. Most often this includes skin in T-zone, which is center of forehead, nose, chin and center of cheeks. If you have flaky skin residues on all tissues and no oil residue, or if you notice tight feeling in skin, this indicated dry skin type. While no oil and no flaky residue on any tissue indicates normal skin type. You might also help indicating skin type with size of pores. Small pres generally indicate dry skin, while large pores mean oily skin.
This questions you are asking about using products for combined skin. I agree with you- you’re better off using different products on different areas.
Hope this helps, take care! |
