| I have big problems with my oily skin. Anything I apply for oily skin, doesn’t seem to work for me. For example, I bought exfoliator and it seems I have even more oily skin. What is the best way to care for oily skin? |

Hey,
It is important to clean your skin with water and soap 2 or even 3 times a day. Do not use soap that you apply on body, you must have soap especially for face. Avoid using cleansers and soaps that tend to overdry your skin, because this, as in your case, cause skin to produce even more oil. For face washing use only warm water. Avoid cold and hot water- both shock skin.
When using moisturizers and sunscreens, use those which are oil free (non-medogenic), since products like this will not clog your pores. For oily skin do not apply to much moisturizer.
Usually people with oily skin have also big pores- if this is the case with you, I would suggest you to talk to dermatologist. Probably you’ll be prescribed with retinoids, since these medications reduce production in oil glands and reduce size of pores.
There is always something good in all this- the good thing is oily skin generally shows slower fine lines and discoloration. |
