For those who shave their bikini area... and are succesful!
I get red bumps always! I have been shaving for almost 3 years now, sometimes shaving, sometimes using depilation cream—no matter what- I always get red bumps!Grrrr!
So, anyone, that is more successful than I am – please, how do you not get those bumps??? |

I use moisturizing shaving cream Aveeno Therapeutic Shaving Gel. Pleeenty LoL. I read somewhere that Aveeno helps, and I have tried it- I really have the feeling it softens the hair and makes shaving easier.
I also tried once applying alcohol after shaving- it was one of those advices that you prefer you’ve never heard. This is do not do it!!!!
The area turned totally red and bumpy- I def worsen the situation. It got me few days at least before the situation calmed down. |

Have you tried waxing- I do it, and since then no bumps at all!
I have slightly irritated skin at the beginning- first 10 to 15 hours- I guess this is the irritation from pulling hair, but them the skin totally calms down and is totally smooth for the next 2 weeks. Then some hair start to appear slowly (I sometimes remove them with tweezers if I have to dress bikini), but I do not have to wax for another 2 weeks. Altogether- 4 weeks no shaving and no worrying about bikini line! What do you think?? I think definitely better than shaving or depilation cream. |

You get over it… eventually It is not so painful- it hurts, but just for few seconds—remember you have 4 weeks time out. I think it is definitely worth it!
Anyway, every other time hurts little bit less- you simply get used to waxing. |

| The first time you wax don't do a full brazilian. You may have a bad reaction. It took me a few attempts to find the best wax for me. I had to go to a salon that used the dark green wax that doesn't require paper strips. The wax hardens then they pool it off. I got even more bumps and ingrowns from waxing then shaving. |

this happened to me too - it was horrible, esp cos expencting after waxing skin will look and feel smooth- and then going through all this pain and having bumps! GGGrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Anyway, i also think full brazilian is not ok the first time- perhaps just at sides to see how skin reacts. |
