Hey Julia!
when i have problems with chapped lips, i apply thin layer of honey on lips; leave it few minutes and wipe it of. It will work! try! |

Carmex works best of all chapsticks. It stings at first (on chapped lips), but after few seconds stinging stops. The effects are great.
I agree with Amanda... Honey works wonders too. |

I have the same problem as Julia, except this is happening to me all the time because of the dry weather here. Carnex, Blistex or any other chapsticks- they do not help me!!!
And then my friend's mum gave me this homemade recipe and IT WORKED! It is honey based! Julia, as someone above said, HONEY really helps.
Back to the recipe. You need honey and rose water. Rose water- maybe you can buy it, but can also make it at home. Need 1 spoon distilled water (can boil water also if you don't have distilled) and few dry rose petals (1 or 2 for this water amount). Air dry them (it will take few days; wash them first with water before drying them). After that crush rose petal and put them in one teaspoon distilled water. Leave for one day and then filtrate.
Next thing you need to do is warm up one spoon honey, add rose water and mix well. After that, place mixture in small container with the lid. And voila! You've just made your own homemade chapstick! |

Top Ten - with aloe scent ... mmmm...simply love it. I use it on regular basis... it is true though i don't have severely chapped lips.
Advice:
Brush your lips with old toothbrush- you'll remove dead cells this way, and then put some honey on! amanda and girls are right- it does help! |
