I need some suggestion for my new hairstyle… I have long hair for the past 5 years, and I am sick of it… I am searching for hairstyle advices… here is description of my face and hair texture….
I have rounded face, which the widest in the middle (where my cheeks are), otherwise my face is as wide as long, and truly has rounded shape. My hair does not have locks, only a few at the end of the hair. My hair is quite obedient (comparing to curly hair), but I prefer not to have hairstyle where every hair must be on its place… you know what I mean? I prefer it messy and to comb with my fingers…ok, except when washing hair
It is not that obedient hair… I remember when I was younger, I used to have chin length hair, maybe little bit longer, where ends were supposed to be turned inside. Well, I my case, only one side was turned inside, the other half … I could do magic, nothing helped- hair decided to turn outside…huh- it was a problematic hairstyle.
So, I prefer shorter, with not much work on it… What hairstyle do you suggest? |

You are right… typical for rounded face is it is similar in height and width, and it is the widest in the middle, where cheeks are, so yes, you have rounded face.
When face id rounded, it is best to optically narrow it. This is done by having height at the top of head, and having hair flat at the sides of the head. Most preferably is to cover the sides of your cheeks. This solution makes your face more narrow, and lengthen it.
Try avoiding fringes as they shorten the appearance of the face. If you like them, don’t have them to explicit and try wearing them on the side. This makes your hair look less rounded, as with ‘side’ solutions you break the symmetry of your rounded face. The same goes for parting- must avoid center parting for the same reason- just do it little bit to the left or to the right. Just an inch.
When having round face, you should wear hairstyle below the chin line, and partly covering cheeks. Anyway, you say you are tired of long hairstyle. No problem! Most important in your case is to have simply short cut hair (few inches long), longer on the back of the head, and getting shorter to the front of head. Cheeks must be partly covered- this will narrow and lengthen your face. As I said- no fringes, your hair on the forehead is best if put aside- forehead shouldn’t be uncovered, but hair must be combed aside.
Talk to your friseur about your new hairstyle, I am sure you’ll get few interesting suggestions.
I hope this helps! I wish your new hairstyle turns out great for you and you’ll be satisfied with new look! |
