I want to do a french Manicure myself but I dont know where to start Ive never done one myself.

The other items are...
Nail stencils and the French Pink and White nail polish.
I am looking for help on how to do the steps right... thanks |

ok. First thing you need to do is clean your nails (no old nail polish or similar). Then soak your nails in warm water to soften the cuticles. Do not cut cuticles, but gently push them back. However, if you have a lot of cuticle (usually the first time it is), you can remove cuticles by using cuticle remover.
Do you have hand or nail cream? If yes, apply on hands and nails and wait few minutes.
Then wipe off cream if there is any left. Now apply base coat (it is clear in color) and leave it to dry.
When applying second coat, some use shades that match the natural color of nail bed, but this is not neccessary if you want to wear red. Apply first time and leave to dry, then apply second time. But you have clear and pink one... for example, this time use pink one and at the end of the treatment clear one.
Now to the white tips on nails (this is what white pencil is for
If you want to have white tips on nails, then you should use white or beige polish (if using red one, white nail tips are not possible). But if you're having problems appplying white polish for nail tips, use this white pencil underneath the nail tip instead of white polish- it is much easier to do it with pencil than with white polish.
However, end treatment with clear polish as this will protect the layers underneath.
This procedure should take about 20 minutes or more. Do not do anything with your fingers at that time, as you dont wanna mess up your creation
I hope this will help you!
Good luck! |

No problem!
I am glad I helped you.
p.s. do not be disapponited if nails don't turn out the way they are supposed to... every next time you'll get better in french manicure |

another option (besides white pencil) are sticky guides. they are applied on nails (where the white tip of the nail starts). then white polisher is applied.
This techique demands more skills than white pencil, but is (from my experinece) more stylish ...although white pencil is ok too, but it does not last long. on the other hand it is easy to touch up.
if you use guides, you can have white tips with red or black or whatever nail polish color. just need steady hand and patience.
Apply guides on every nail, apply white nail polish, wait until it dries (!), remove sticky guides and apply one more coat (the same one as using for base coat)- it is important that it has neutral color. the last coat will protect your white tips and you'll have longer lasting french manicure.
Good luck! |

I went to a bridal show in Houston with my sister and mom and this company Nailene handed out free samples of artificial nails. French manicure nails -- supposedly they are not out yet in stores!! They look real and easy to put on
They gave me a box but don't know if I should try them on. I've never worn artificial nails before. My sister likes them though. Are they good? The "new" brand is Nail Duets. My sister is such a hog (and a bridezilla)! She took the designer ones too Nail Couture .
Oh also, fyi, they have a French pen available if you're interested. I checked their website. |
