What do you think of Hermmes perfume Osmanthe Yunnan? I got it for a gift, and now i don't know whether this hermmes perfume is like that only on my skin or is it like that generally. This Hermmes perfume is one of the most neutral perfumes i have ever tried. It is sort of dry, i don't know howelse to express myself. I read review on this perfume. I was really curious how to describe the scent, and what scents are exactly in the perfume. So, i found this information: yunnan tea, orange, osmanthus, freesia, and apricot. amm, don't know the scent of yunnan tea, osmanthus or freesia. But, ok, i doesn't matter anyway. I was just wondering if this hermmes perfume smells so vague and pale (can fragranc smell pale? ) on everyone else, or is this perfume just reacting to my body chemistry? |

yes, i know this fragrance. it's a tea fragrance (yunnan tea) with some fruity and floral notes. not agressive at all, actually not agressive enough, although i don't like using that word when describing perfumes. It is one of the ligthest fragrances i have ever tried, so i guess, this comes as an answer to your question: it is not just your body chemistry, it is the perfume. it actually is that neutral, so forget wearing this perfume now when's cold. I think it si best for hot summer (night), although i don't like to divide fragrancs into winter and summer group, but this hermmes perfume is so delicate and barely noticeable, it would disapear if wearing it in winter time.
And this is not all! No wonder you got it for a gift! I would never be prepared to pay $180 for 100 ml of the perfume with so little presence. So, in my case, testers first and then purchasing. |

I like the perfume. got 4 15ml bottles for $100, and i kept one for myself, others i gave as presents. I smelled it first on my classmate she smelled gorgeos. Not invasive at all, but i wouldn't say without presence- it could last longer though. I usually am very careful with perfumes: 1 or 2 spritzes and that's it. Well, with this one it is at least 4, which means the bottle will be soon empty.
So, i bought it and i love the way it opens with somewhat dry citrus, and then its silky drydown of yunnan tea, at least i think that's it. it has some spiceness in it, perhaps it is yunnan too |
