| I have had short hair for several years now, and have been thinking about changing my style. It is quite short now, but I would like to grow it to shoulder length. I realise this will require some patience on my part. Could you tell me how fast hair grows on average? How long have you been growing our hair? |

Human hair has an average growth of half an inch or, at best, an inch per month. This means that it would take you about two or three years to reach your desired length.
I have been growing my hair for some five years, and now it falls right down to my shoulder blades. I find this to be a good length for me, not only because of how it looks, but also because it still allows me to keep my hair in a good condition.
This brings me to another point of this discussion. Patience alone is not enough if you want to grow your hair. Taking care of it is also necessary if you want your hair to have a good quality and an appealing look. Long but damaged hair would not be worth all that patience, since it is more likely to make you miserable instead of contented.
Therefore, arm yourself with both patience and a good hair care regiment, and you will see the results of your efforts. Although it may take several years to grow it, investing just a little time and care will certainly pay off and you will be more and more satisfied with your hair with each day. And above all, do not forget to have fun. |
