I don't look right in eye makeup...any tips?

I feel like I don't look right in eye makeup...any tips?
I use brown eyeshadow and eyeliner, but it seems like eye makup doesn’t look good on me. I have brown eyes and quite dark skin for Caucasian. Do you have any tips for me?

There is nothing wrong for you wearing brown eyeshadows, you just have to keep in mind that dark colors make eyes smaller, while light make them look bigger.
For that reason, if you have small eyes, it is better to apply brown colors just for shading, and use other but dark colors. Brown gives doe-eyed look, i prefer lighter colors on eyelids, like beige, apricot, even khaki green, copper, champagne.
As afr as eyeliner… you have to experiment a bit with it- not all look good with one, so if you have small eyes, do not over apply, because it will edge your eyes and meake them look smaller…. For small eyes, eyeliner isn’t necessity, but it can also make eyes look bigger, if applied in a right way- so apply only on edges.
