| I have quite some problems with ingrown hair... it really doesn’t matter whether I shave or wax (usually I wax, but if I do not have the time, I shave, well you know how unpractical waxing is). Any suggestions on how to avoid ingrown hair... |

hey jasmin,
I also wax, and before waxing I exfoliate my skin along the bikini line, where I get mostly ingrown hair.... I read somewhere this trick helps, because it removes ‘dead’ upper layer of skin, which often trap ingrown hair. I do it with slightly abrasive cloth- I think it works best on me.
Also, during the battle with my ingrown hair I have learned it is best not to go fishing for ingrown hair, because it turns out, I make it worse- the area turns totally red, I am in pain, and the hair (I don’t even know if it is a hair) is still under my skin. besides, I created few nice scars fishing for ingrown hair! Not that nice actually!
But if you see hair sticking out- do pluck it with sterilized tweezers or help yourself with a needle.

| In which direction do you shave/ wax? From ankle to knee?? Wrong direction! Must shave or wax in the direction of hair growth. Most of women do that mistake, and it causes them ingrown hair. |
