Ever heard of ectopic pregnancies? Molar pregnancy is similar to ectopic pregnancy, but is different. Molar pregnancy (also called mole) is often a result of purely genetic error during the fertilisation process. What happens? Molar pregnancy causes the growth of abnormal tissue in uterus, but this tissue is not an embrio. Sounds scary, right? First of all don't panic. Molar pregnancies are very rare. But unfortunately, molar pregnancy is in connection with age. Namely, women at risk are early teens and women over 40 years old.
I suggest you talk to your gyn about molar pregnancy. |
