I am searching for natural homemade skin lighteners. If anyone has some sort of recipe, pls post!
I was using lighting creams, but got allergy. Thus, only something natural comes handy. Pls help! Have problems with really dark knees and elbows. From time to time i get dark patches on face (under lips). |

Vegetables and some other ingredients from mother nature's cabinet are 'very' potent skin lighteners: for example tomatoes, cucumbers... so you're right by not using chemical creams.
If you want to use tomato, just smear a slice over your face before bedtime and then wash off in the morning.
If you want to use cucumber, apply slices on face (like mask) and leave 15 minutes. Or you can squeeze juice from cucumber and then apply juice on 'affected' areas with cotton wool.
Lemon juice also works, but pure lemon juice may be too aggressive, thus dilute lemon juice with same amount of water and apply with cotton wool. Or chamomile tea, if you prefer teas- they are both natural homemade skin lighteners. |

| If you decide to buy a cream after all, you can buy cream that contains kojic acid. Kojic acid is a natural product, derived from japanese fungi. It is very gentle on skin (i read you have allergies) and it is effective in skin discolorations. I hope this helps. |

| Basil is also great for treating pigmentation. Just make a paste from basil leaves and water and apply on skin. Leave 15 minutes to half hour, then rinse. It is best to use fresh basil. |

| Sorry but which lightening cream were you using? Have you tried Tretinoin before? I think it's good and it didn't cause me any allergic reactions. It's just an idea in case you don't find a homemade solution. |
