| Hi! I am 18 and thinking about nipple piercing done. Is this a good idea and most of all is it safe for my age, or will my breasts develop some more? Do holes close? The ones I had on ears didn't, so i am afraid the same would happen with holes on my breast... |

I would think some more and wait few more months or a year to see if i am still into this...
Nipple piercing is defined as a form of body modification, because it changes your body permanently, thus it is very possible the holes will stay permanently, esp if you had the same case with your ear piercings.
There are risks ofcourse, and with any other body invasion.. first of all diseases that are transmitted through blood interaction, like HIV, hepatitis and other blood transmitted diseases. There is a risk of infections. Ever heard of mastitis? ...serious breast infection- when you see the pictures, respect if you'll still wanna have your nipples pierced. Google it out, you;ll see what is like. (p.s. Don't wanna scare you, that are facts!) scarring is possible, as with any other jewelry- jewelry rejection.
Breastfeeding is possible, although there are some risks too. |
