If there is a fountain of youth, it is probably filled with Kinetin.
Kinetin is a natural anti-oxidant found in leafy green plants. When is topically applied it works on human skin by delaying the aging process. For example, when cut leaves are dipped in a solution containing Kinetin remain green while untreated leaves turn brown. And the same effects Kinetin has on human skin: as young skin cells, it allows old skin cells to retain more moisture, consequently they appear softer and smoother.
Kinetin is a better alternative to Retin-A, a skin treatment that also decreases the appearance of fine lines and brown sun damage spots. Unlike Retin-A, Kinetin is not an exfoliant and therefore does not increase skin’s sensitivity to the sun.
Kinetin is available in prescription strength, under the name Kinerase. |
