| Hello everyone! I have a Question about Acrylic Nails. I have healthy nails, but are quite soft. I want to get Acrylic Nails, but my mum says it will make the situation just worse, and my natural nails will never recover. Does Acrylic Nails really ruin your real nails? Could Acrylic Nails contribute to make my real nails stronger? |

Before having Acrylic Nails think if you are ready to commit to them.
I had the Acrylic Nails, and I simply loved the look they provided and they were very strong (I have the same problem with nail strength as you do), but I had to have them filled every two weeks and this became too expensive to me. I am just a student…
No, Acrylic Nails will not contribute to nail strength- when I had them removed I found that my real nails were as weak as before/ not weaker nor stronger- so they will definitely not help considering the nail strength- but the fact they gave my hands appear beautiful, womanly, … was enough for me. |

| I agree- Acrylic Nails will not make your nails stronger. Besides, your mother is right- Acrylic Nails do slightly damage your nails. A Dremel is used to rough up your nail so that the ‘fake’ nail will adhere to your natural nail. Anyway, this is not for good – nails are alive and eventually they revive. |

| If using several coats of clear polish, it will make nails stronger. |
