I get red bumps on neck when shaving. I am shaving in the direction of the hair, but nevertheless I got skin inflamed every time I shave. I don’t get bumps if I don’t shave few days, but can’t go to work not shaved. What can I do?

Perhaps you could get a new look and go unshaved to work- I mean having short beard all the time and being neat beard and all that- you could evenly shave it, but not down to the skin?
Btw, how do you shave – with razor or with electric razor? I heard later are better for men having problems with bumps after shaving? Is it just because of shaving or because you apply aftershave (maybe it contains alcohol??).
I am not sure if this would work, but some women apply baby powder after shaving, to avoid bumpy areas wherever on body-practically, baby powder prevents skin inflammation, so it sounds ok to apply something like that?
