| Anyone here did waxing 'down below' before? If yes, pls tell me what is like and if you're able to do it yourself or have to go to the saloon? .... I am a bit ashamed you know... so i would rather do it myself. |

| Oh, go to saloon. It is not like it is impossible to do waxing down bellow by yourself, but if you're doing it for the first time, than do go to beautician. |

| I understand you're embarrassed, but trust me noone is comfortable when being waxed down bellow. Don't be embarrassed/ anyone specialising in bikini waxing has seen it all before and will do their best to put you at ease. |

Hey. I do it on regular basis (about once a month or once in 3 to 4 weeks) and I have few more advices to give you to ease the pain.
I guess you know it is quite painful experience but there are 'tricks' that can be used in order to minimize the pain. For example, it is essential you don't book in for a wax just before or during your period, as this is when your body is at its most sensitive and the pain will be at its greatest.
Since this will be your first wax, I suggest you prepare your hair for it. If your hair is long, than trim it to about 2cm or less / just leave enough for the wax to hold on to. It is much more painful when ripping out long hairs instead of short ones. |

| What about ingrown hair? I heard many women have problems with ingrown hair if waxing. Is there anything that can be done to prevent it? |

Well, it is not possible to prevent ingrown hair 100 percent, but it is possible to minimize it.
Besides, ingrown hair does not happen only after waxing but can also happen after using depilation cream or silk epil maschine or similar.
Well, one thing that can prevent or at least reduce ingrown hair is exfoliation. You need to exfoliate regularly after a wax. It difficult to prevent ingrown hair totally due to the random direction of hair growth, but if you exfoliate after waxing it will definitely help.
And if ingrown hair happens, i suggest applying a tea-tree-based cream can help reduce redness and inflammation from ingrowing hairs. |

I do brazilian down there and i had embarrassment issues as well but my girlfriends said that the person makes you feel comfortable and the moment i took off my panties i felt comfortable! So that's not an issue..
As for pain, like someone else said, dont go in with long hair!! ahhaa
I tend to get ingrown hair near my thighs in the bikini area, and the waxer person (what do you call them?) sold me this lotion that takes out ingrown hair, im supposed to use it on regular basis, it kinda dries or peels skin... but since i didnt use it regularly, i cant actually tell if it works.
but overall, you'll love it!
however, after the first time, you feel too naked ahahha you feel as if you're not wearing underwear beneath your pants! (too much info... sorry) but once you get used to it, its soo much smoother and cleaner! |
