| I have problem with my hair. I am 40 years old and it think I am losing my hair more, I mean my hair is more falling out than usual. Is this possible because of ageing process? What would be best antiageing advice for hair? |

| Everyone loses approximately 100 hairs every day. At any time 10% of your scalp is in resting phase and after few month of the resting phase, hair fells out and the new one starts to grow. In the mean time the rest of your hair, about 90% is growing. Some people experience hair falling out at different periods, even when season change; this depends on every person. Though it is true that cycle of hair renewal slows down as we age. However, this is not an alarming state! On the other hand, it is also true that alopecia is more likely to occur as we age. (Alopecia is excessive hair loss in women.) But there are also cures for alopecia. If you suspect having such problems contacting your doctor would be best advice. |

I could advise you to take more protein rich food. Since hair is protein, a diet that is too low in protein may cause some thinning in hair or slower growth cycle.
About vitamins, it is truly best to consult your doctor about amount taken. However, vitamin B complex, E, beta carotene and vitamin C with bioflavonoids affect hair in good antiageing way. Best is to see doctor.
