While there are many oils that can be used to condition the hair, the type of oil that you select should depend on your hair type, personal preference, budget and conditioning needs.
Essential oils usage is the same for all oils: essential oils are applied on freshly washed and towel patted hair. Always apply in moderate amounts! It is not necessary to soak hair in oils, because this does not increase the effect. After applying oil on hair, leave it work half hour, and then rinse hair with water.

Recipe for burdock oilIngredients: one first burdock seedssome 90% alcohol¾ l olive oilPound up burdock seeds and cover them with alcohol. Leave it in dark and cold place for 14 days. Add olive oil, and again, leave it stand 14 days. Stir every second day. Alcohol will evaporate, but do not cover jar with a lid, but with gauze.Jojoba oilJojoba oil (Simmondsia sinesis) is also applied against loosing hair. Jojoba oil is rich in miristic acid, which has anti inflammatory features. It is considered jojoba oil fastens hair growth, and decreases scalp itching.
Jojoba oil gives hair moisture and softness, it is quickly imbibed, and it helps with inflamed and irritated scalp.
Avocado oilAvocado oil (Persea Americana) calms and moistures hair. It also gives hair special, silky shine. Avocado oil is rich in vitamins A, B, D, and with lecitine. Avocado oil is best applied on natural, non-colored hair, because it brings out natural color.
Shell almond oilIf you want your hair to shine, you should use shell almond oil (Prunus Amygdalis)! Shell almond oil contains vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, E, minerals, and fatty acids. This oil is recommended for all hair types: it has calming effect on scalp, and is recommendable against dandruff.
Lavender oil If you have problems with some kind of infection, or your scalp itches and is often irritated, lavender oil (Lavendula officinalis) will help. Lavender oil disinfects, calms, and nurtures scalp. It has the same effect as alcohol, but it doesn’t itch and does not dry out. Lavender oil stimulates tissue regeneration and smell wonderful!
Nut oilIf your hair is damaged and dry, nut oil (Juglans regia) will return its moisture. Nut oil is especially recommended if you are brunette, because it will give nice reddish shine. Nut oil contains iron, potassium, calcium, phosphor, sulfur, and other materials.
Recipe for green nut oil:For scalp massaging, hair strengthening, and against dandruff is applied following recipe for nut oil: prepare mixture of 200 g dry green nuts and cover tem with half liter red wine and half liter olive oil, and one deciliter nut oil. Recipe for green nut shampoo:Cook 100 g green nuts, add 10 g alum, and few drops nut oil. Filtrate and apply as hair shampoo. Lemon oilFor blonds most effective is lemon oil (Citrus limon). Lemon oil has antiseptic features. Lemon oil gives hair golden highlights. Lemon oil strengthens hair roots, it freshens hair, and brings hair back to life.
Lemon oil is one of rare oils which are perfect for greasy hair. Lemon oil also stimulates scalp blood circulation- is good treatment for dry scalp and dandruff and under-active sebaceous glands.
Olive oilOlive oil (Olea europea) contains significant amounts of unsaturated fatty acids, vitamins A, D, E, K, and minerals.
Olive oil was believed to have been introduced in Egypt in its later periods, where became a main oil for herbal infusions and unguents. Many varieties of olive oil are well known today and are used in all sorts of recipes both in cosmetic and culinary worldwide.
Recipe for olive oil and yolkThis is one of the simplest recipes: mix olive oil (1 deciliter) and one yolk, and apply on hair from hair roots to hair ends. Wrap your hair in towel for 20 minutes. After treatment wash your hair with mild shampoo. This way your hair will become shinier and smoother, and it won’t be electricitied. Since yolk contains lecitine, oil will fix on every hair and make it smoother.
