Honey is natural substance very rich in minerals. Honey contains zinc, which helps skin to heal, magnesium, which slows down the process of aging, and potassium, which hydrates cells and maintains balance in them. Honey is also rich in vitamins. It contains vitamin C and those from B group that stimulate cells and maintain dermis young. Considering the fact that honey contains around 17 percents of water, honey is also very hydrating.

Homemade honey soap

Ingredients:
250 ml baby soap
250 ml honey
rose or lavender essential oil
½ cup water

Place soap in container and add ½ cup of water. Slowly warm up soap (do not boil!!!) until achieving creamy mixture. Remove from fire and add honey. Add 10 drops of essential oil. Lavender essential oil has the power of skin cleansing, while rose has the power of relaxing.
Place this mixture in a jar and leave until it cools. Wait one week before using this soap, because in the meantime honey soap will tighten, but will not loose its consistency.

Face Cleansing with Honey

Do you want to have clean and fresh looking skin? Even though you're not a regular client at beautician's, you can still achieve that.
Bring water to boil and add 5 drops of rosemary essential oil and 10 drops of sage essential oil. Cover your head with towel and lean over bowl. Stay this way for 5 minutes and pores will widely open.
Is your skin sensitive and prone to redness? Leaning over steam could cause skin irritation. for this reason, soak towel in warm dissolution (follow preparation described above), strain it and place on your face. You'll achieve similar effect.
After opening pores, apply simple honey mask. Smear honey on face and neck and after 10 minutes  rinse with cold water to close hydrated and rejuvenated pores.

Honey Peeling

Mix one teaspoon of honey with 2 teaspoons finely ground almonds and half teaspoon lemon juice.
Gently massage your face with this peeling for several minutes and then rinse with lukewarm water.

Honey Tonic

Peel an apple and place it with one teaspoon of honey in mixer. Mix good. Apply on face and leave 15 minutes. Rinse with cold water.

Honey Mask

Mix 2 teaspoons of honey with 2 teaspoons of milk (if you have oily skin, use low fat milk). Apply on face and neck and leave 10 minutes. Rinse in lukewarm water.

Honey Skin Lotion for Dry Skin

Mix 1 teaspoon honey, 1 teaspoon herbal oil and ¼ teaspoon of lemon juice. Rub in wherever your skin is dry. Leave for 10 minutes and then rinse with water.
