Relax your Feet

Walnut bath

Cover 100 g of walnut leaves and 100 g of sage leaves and cover them with 4 liter boiling water. Leave covered 2 hours. Filtrate and once again, slowly warm to temperature appropriate for bath. Put your feet into solution and keep there for 30 minutes. If you have tired feet, repeat procedure twice a day. Afterwards massage your feet with diluted vinegar. Repeat treatment 3 times a week.


Oak bath     


Ingredients:
200 g finely chopped corn seeds 
200 g finely ground oak skin (from branches of arm thickness)

Cover with 4 liters boiling water and leave covered for 2 hours. Filtrate and once again warm up to temperature appropriate for bath.
Repeat this treatment two times a day, three times a week.

Treating ingrown nail

Apply this treatment for 10 days. All mentioned herbs can be found in pharmacies.

Before and after bath apply alcohol around nail. apply on wound 3% hydrogen (buy it in pharmacy) in order to draw out inflammation from the wound. Frothing will determine whether the wound is clean: minimized foaming is an indicator of bacteria reduction.
Take 1 spoon of finely chopped leaves and flowers of wild pansy and marigold flowers. Cover herbs with 2 dcl milk and cook on slow fire until achieving mash. Apply this balm on ingrown nail in the morning, noon and evening and apply wrap with clean gauze. Leave compress to work for 2 hours. When removing compress, apply alcohol to disinfect nail.
When the inflammation is reduced, apply following treatment:
mix 1 spoon of wheat flour with finely chopped ivy leaves and 2 spoons of honey. Mix good. Apply this balm on painful spot and wrap with gauze. After removing compress, wash with fresh, lukewarm chamomile.

Scented feet bath 

Dilute ½ cup of vinegar and 5-6 spoons of sea salt in warm water.           

Sage: deodorant for feet

Option 1:
Put some fresh or dry sage in shoes.
 
Option 2:
1 spoon of backing powder
2 drops of sage essential oil

Mix backing powder and sage essential oil in plastic bag and leave until it dries. Apply powder on feet and one spoon in shoes.

For feet cleaning and revitalization

Fill bowl with following herbs and leave feet soaked in 'tea; for at least 10-20 minutes. 

Ingredients:
½ cup of epsom salt
1 fistful of rosemary
1 drop of cedar essential oil
2 drops of lavender essential oil (to reduce pain and relax muscles)
3 drops of tea tree essential oil (for antiseptic effect)

Warning! Pregnant women should avoid following herbs: basilica, dill, geranium, juniper, peppermint, hysope, sage, thyme.

For painful feet

Ingredients:
1 spoon of olive oil  
1 spoon of aloe
1 spoon of whey buds
20 drops of peppermint oil
20 drops of eucalyptus oil

Mix ingredients and massage with gentle moves. You can use this mixture as addition for feet bath (in this case add some mixture into warm water).

This is a good opportunity to remove dead cells and nurture your skin. you don't need expensive preparations – a quality peeling can be easily prepared at home. Start with your feet. Peeling is prepared from:
  • handful of sea salt
  • one handful of corn flour
  • 1 spoon of olive oil
  • 1 spoon of chamomile tea or lukewarm water
Mix all ingredients in a bowl and then rub your feet with this mixture. After few minutes rinse with lukewarm water.
Slowly warm few spoons of olive or sesame oil, add 5 drops of lemon essential oil and 5 drops of lavender essential oil. Massage wet feet with this mixture. If you add few more drops of mint essential oil, you'll relieve pain and return freshness to your feet.


Beautiful Feet

Ingrown nails might seem like a small problem, but it isn't. Every fifth person suffers from ingrown nails. When talking about sweaty feet, the statistics are even worse.
However, when having problems with ingrown nails, the whole body suffers: little wound at the beginning becomes painful and inflamed spot, which sometimes even doesn't allow person to sleep during night.
Neglected feet aren't just an aesthetic problem- first of all, they are health problem. So, let's see what can be done to eliminate these problems from your life!

Regular nail trimming

Many people do not regularly trim their nails. Nails should be trimmed horizontally- do not round them off.
But before cutting nails, prepare them: soak them in warm salty bath for 10 minutes. This way the nails will soften and they will be easier to trim. Besides, salt will disinfect skin and nails and this way lessen the chance for disinfection. 

Cream for beautiful feet      

This is really rich and thick cream, which will nurture your feet and make the best of them. As always, add essential oils, if you like.

Given amount: 280 g
Preparation time: 30 minutes
Store in refrigerator

Ingredients:
50 g shea butter
30 g sweet almond oil             
30 g  coconut oil
40 g emulsion wax
15 g stearine acid  
120 ml distiled water
10 drops of peppermint essential oil
2 g preservatives

Preparation:

Put first three ingredients in fireproof bowl.
Other ingredients (except essential oil and preservative) put in another fireproof bowl.
Place both bowls on steam and wait until the wax in second bowl melts. Afterwards remove from steam.
Mix both ingredients, while slowly adding first mixture to second one. If you're using preservative, add it, but if not, remember that shelf life of this product is very short.
Leave mixture to cool for 5 minutes and then add essential oil. Put into clean jar, but do not cover/ close before cream cools.
Rub this cream on clean feet. If going to bed, wear cotton socks and you'll wake up with the softest skin on feet possible.

Bath for soft feet          

Given amount is enough for one treatment.
Preparation time is 25 minutes.
Store in refrigerator.

Ingredients:
½ cup of sugar
2 spoons of your favorite hydrating lotion
2 cups of milk
7 cups of water

Preparation:
In large bowl heat milk and water. In the meantime mix sugar with lotion.
Soak your feet into solution and stay this way for 10 minutes.    
When finishing with warm bath, rub your feet with sugar and lotion mixture. Massage good and sink your feet again into milk and water solution to wash off sugar and lotion.


Golden bath for feet


This bath contains everything needed for pedicure and healthy looking feet. Fresh milk will soften skin, and salts from Dead sea will remove dead cells and return skin its freshness. Lemon will awaken your senses and offer you all benefits of aromatherapy.

Given amount: 1 treatment
Preparation time: 30 minutes
Store in refrigerator

Ingredients:  
half liter of fat full milk
1 fistful of marigold flowers (dry or fresh)
1 drop of lemon essential oil
2 cups of salt from Dead sea
half cup of sweet almond oil

Preparation:
Warm milk on low fire (do not boil). Add marigold petals, so that milk achieves golden color, and mix. If you do not have time, nor marigold, use milk on room temperature.
In the meantime, prepare salt peeling: mix salt from Dead sea with almond oil. Mix well and add lemon essential oil.
Pour milk into bowl, large enough to place both feet in it. Sink your feet into milk and start with peeling. Massage your feet with peeling, you can also massage your knees with it. Sink your feet back into milk and wash off salt. Stay this way for at least 5 minutes. The first treatment with peeling will remove dead cells, while the second one will make your skin softer.
Pat your skin dry and apply hydrating cream. If you have time, go through with pedicure- your skin and nails are ready for it.

Feet Bath with Juniper

if you want to eliminate uncomfortable smell from your feet, wash them in a bath, implemented with few drops of juniper oil.

How to treat athletic foot?

Ingredients:
20-30 mashed garlic cloves
2-4 spoons of ground cinnamon
2-4 spoons of carnation in powder
15 ml vodka

Mix ingredients in dark glass bottle with a wide neck. Close airtight. Store on dark place for 2 weeks; shake every second or third day.
Apply tincture on feet and between fingers with cotton cloth. Apply in the morning and before bed time. Leave it dry and then rub feet with clean cloth. If you notice redness, stop treatment.
If even after 2 weeks, you can't notice any improvement, seek for medical attention.

Mask for feet with lemon     

This mask is recommended for feet, nails and toes.
Given amount: for 1 treatment
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Store in refrigerator

Ingredients:
1 spoon of vodka
1 egg
1 cup of milk
half cup of lemon juice
1 drop of lemon essential oil

Mix all ingredients until they become well united.
Pour into washbowl, large enough your can sink both feet into. Stay this way for 15 minutes. Massage your foot with another one. If you're in a comfortable position, lift your feet, so they dry on air. Then sink them back into solution for few minutes. Afterwards pat them dry and apply hydrating cream.

Peppermint peeling for feet      

Your feet will be soft and silky thanks to sweet honey, sour lemon and spicy peppermint.

Given amount: 1 treatment for both feet
Preparation time: 20 minutes
Store 1-2 weeks in refrigerator in hermetic bowl.

Ingredients:
2 cups of sugar
2 peppermint sticks
half cup of olive oil
8 teaspoons of milk
4 spoons of liquid honey
4 drops of lemon essential oil

Place peppermint in plastic bag and ground it with something heavy. Put ground peppermint in a bowl, add sugar and olive oil and mix until achieving a paste.
Massage peeling in your feet with circular moves in order to remove dead cells from skin and to remove it.
Since this mixture is oily, be careful not to slip.
When finished, apply hydrating cream. To achieve best effect, put on cotton socks overnight. In the morning you'll have the softest skin on feet and heels.     

Pumpkin cream for Pedicure

This cream will make your skin perfectly soft and scented. 

Given amount: 1 treatment for both feet
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Store in refrigerator in hermetic bowl.

Ingredients:
3 spoons of canned pumpkin
1 spoon of brown sugar
2 spoons of olive oil
1 spoon of vanilla extract

Mix all ingredients in smaller bowl. Sit on the edge of the tub and put your feet into washbowl, large enough to place both feet into it. Gently massage pumpkin cream in your feet. Rinse with lukewarm water and apply on moist feet rich, hydrating cream.

Foamy feet peeling   


This peeling is great! You'll feel like walking on the beach.
Given amount: 1 treatment for both feet
Preparation time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:
½ cup of sea salt
1 teaspoon of clean, fine sand
1 teaspoon of kanola oil
1 spoon of liquid soap (in green or blue color)

Put salt and sand in bowl and mix. In another bowl mix kanola oil and liquid soap. Pour mixture of oil and soap into bowl with sand and salt, and mix well until the mixture unites. Massage 30 seconds, and then rinse. Repeat treatment with another foot. Dry your feet, and apply your favorite lotion.

Sweet bath for feet

This recipe is not recommendable for people with diabetes or those who have open wounds on feet.

Given amount: 1 treatment

Ingredients:
water
1 cup of salt
1 cup of apple cider vinegar
1 spoon of chlorophyll
1 drop of tea tree essential oil
1 drop of juniper tree essential oil
1 drop of peppermint essential oil
few little, smooth stones

Boil enough water to fill washbowl. Add epsom salt and mix until it dilutes. When water cools to skin temperature, add vinegar. At the end add essential oils. Wash your feet with soap and then soak them in prepared sweet bath. Put stones into washbowl and massage your feet with them. After 20 minutes rinse your feet with lukewarm water.

Cold lemon tonic  

This tonic is recommendable for painful and cracked feet and heels. It can also be applied for insect bites. You'll get enough amount for 3-4 treatments.
Given amount: 600 g

Ingredients:
half kilo of shea butter , enriched with vitamin E  
50 ml jojoba oil
50 ml refined coconut oil
1 spoon of marigold oil
1 spoon of primrose oil
1 spoon of dog rose oil
10 ml lemon and peppermint oil for aromatherapy

Mix essential oils at least 3-5 days before using tonic, so the oils unite. Put butter into bowl and mash it with spoon. Add other ingredients, and at the end add essential oils. If your want creamy tonic, mix ingredients in blender.
Pour mixture into jars and leave for 1-2 days or put into refrigerator for couple hours.
Take smaller amount (size of pea) and apply on feet. Use 1-2 times daily.

Oil for warmer feet   
 
This oil can be used for inflamed muscles.

Given amount: 50 g
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Shelf-life: unlimited

Ingredients:
30 g almond oil
30 g jojoba oil
3 drops of peppermint essential oil
1 drop of rosemary essential oil
1 drop of tea tree  essential oil
1 drop of ginger  essential oil

Mix almond and jojoba oil. (if you don't have jojoba oil, use some other herbal oil). Mix, while slowly adding essential oils. Gently massage into feet.
