Health is in food…

… and as we eat, we do not only supply our bodies with energy, but also with health benefit substances, which main feature is to protect our bodies. And vitamins play an important part here,  mostly vitamin A, C and E.
Why do we need protective substances? When our bodies digest food, toxic materials occur, and they are often cause diseases. Nature did take care of balance- it is our responsibility to keep it.
Where do we find protective substances? In fruit in vegetables mostly, but also in diary products, meat, fish, … it is important that your nutrition is balanced.
How much fruit and vegetables? At least 40 dag fruits and vegetables daily!

And in watermelon is water…

And bodies need water! Watermelon is 92 percent water by weight, the highest percentage of any fruit. Watermelon contains up to 13% sugar, 1,2% proteins, pectin and up to 10% vitamin C.
Watermelon juice in equally distributed through body, it enters tissues and cells, which are then cooled and nurtured.
When is best to eat watermelon? As most other fruits, watermelon is best eaten fresh, in seasoning time, which is summer and early autumn.  Watermelon acts similar as melon, gourd, green squash, and cucumber: they all stimulate water excretion from body. For that reason, watermelon is most recommended when having problems with kidney or bladder stones, but also as most sweet and healthy refreshment. Almost everyone can eat watermelon- all it matters is that you like the taste!
For true joy, watermelon has to be well cooled. Before putting it into refrigerator, cut it on slices. This way it will cool faster than leaving whole watermelon in the fridge. Since watermelon has very strong aroma, don’t forget to cover the container with plastic or alu- folio.
On the other hand, people suffering from sugar disease and people lacking pepsin in stomach or having problems with intestine should not eat it.
