With Cucumbers Against Cellulite

Fresh cucumbers increase excretion of liquids and toxins from organism. Cucumbers are recommended as diet food for overweight people.
 
Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) is edible vegetable, with large leaves that form a conopy over the fruit. Surprisingly plant belongs to the same family as melons and squash- they all namely contain plenty water.
People from Himalaya knew wild cucumbers 5000 years ago; the fruit has been cultivated in India for 3000 years and is widely cultivated today.
Most often cucumbers are used in salads. When preparing cucumber salads we often make mistakes. First mistake would be slicing cucumber – cucumbers are best eaten peeled, but in one piece- by slicing some minerals and vitamins are lost. Anyway, the biggest mistake is made when salting sliced cucumbers and them squashing their liquid! Big mistake! By salting cucumbers and then squashing cucumber liquid, precious potassium, sodium and other beneficial ingredients are lost.
Cucumber is best eaten freshly peeled, in one piece, or at leas chopped on cubes. You can eat it without anything, or you may add sour milk or yogurt, parsley and garlic.




Little Calories, Plenty Minerals


Thanks to large amount of water in cucumbers (95%), energetic value of cucumbers in not high: actually it is lower than of any other vegetables. The amount of proteins is low (0, 6%), also fat level (0, 1%), but there are some more carbohydrates (3, 2%). Presence of minerals is higher (around 400 mg): most represented are potassium, sodium, phosphorus, calcium, manganese and iodine. All these features make cucumbers very beneficial vegetable: high potassium percentage and low sodium percentage makes cucumbers natural diuretic!
Cucumbers are recommendable when having problems with constipation or urination. They are also very beneficial when having heart and kidney problems, and also when dealing with rheumatic difficulties. Cucumbers liguify urine acid, which beneficially influences kidney stones.
Cucumbers help fighting cellulite, because they increase liquid secretion from body, and this way also toxins secretion. Raw cucumbers regulate digestion and make stool softer. Cucumbers lower blood sugar, for that reason they are recommended for diabetics, and particularly to overweight people.
Cucumbers contain mostly vitamin C, but also group B vitamins and carotene.

They Are Best Ripe    

Automatically everyone thing young cucumbers are better than ripe ones, as this is the case with most vegetables and fruits! However, this is not true!
Ripe cucumbers are easily digested and they do not cause flatulence and gasses. If unripe cucumbers are eaten salted and then cooked with water, they may cause cramps and constipation.
Thus the thinking young cucumbers are actually harmful. However, cucumbers are best eaten in the stage of ripening, when they green color slowly turns to light yellowish. As mentioned, cucumber is best eaten raw, without any additions, like salt, vinegar or oil.

Salad
Best way to prepare cucumber salad is to peel fresh and ripe cucumber, chop them on cubes, pour with some lemon juice and mix with sour milk (or yogurt or sour cream), chopped garlic and parsley.
For better water metabolism cucumber salad is best eaten in summer for breakfast, lunch or dinner!



Stronger Eyes 
Peel and slice cucumber and squeeze out their juice. Immerge gauze into cucumber juice and apply on eyes, then cover moisten gauze with dry one. After 20 minutes take of gauzes and wash with gentle chamomile.



Against Freezing
In season time harvest cucumbers, cut them longwise, and dry them on clean and sunny place. If your need something against freezing in winter, put dry cucumbers in lukewarm water until they soften and then apply on problematic area.

Kidney Tea 
From ripe (yellow) cucumbers take out seeds, wash them and dry them well. Tea is prepared when 1 teaspoon dry cucumber seeds is put into 2 dcl water, and then cooked 10 minutes. Tea is drunk on empty stomach.

Against Skin Burns 
Apply cucumber juice compresses on problematic areas few times daily at least 10 days.
