| I am breaking out from scrub cleansers. I have acne prone skin (when I was in my teens I sued to have acne, and they occasionally occur). I have combo skin, oily at T-zone. Why does it happen that I break out? I notice this scrub cleanser that I use (Nivea) contains alcohol- could alcohol be a cause for breaking out? |

Possible that alcohol is the cause. Alcohol namely causes the skin to become dry at first, and can actually cause overproduction of oil later on. This happens because the skin tries to balance itself out by producing extra oil, and as you know when skin produces extra oil, often pores clog, which consequently cause skin to break out.
For beginning start with scrub cleansers that do not contain alcohol. I believe this should work better on skin and probably will not cause skin to break out. |
