The reasons behind drooping eyelids are diverse, including eye surgery, disease, birth defect, injury and age. More often than not, it is a case of weakness of the muscles around your eyes.
As for the treatment of this condition, plastic surgery is usually suggested as a quick and effective solution. Since this condition is unlikely to improve in time, the surgery can help tightening the muscles and lifting the eyelid.
At the same time, if you do not have a more serious case of drooping eyelids and do not want to take such drastic steps as plastic surgery for the time being, you can try doing some exercises. They can be found on the Internet, or you could try consulting your physician.
The idea behind these is that exercising will strengthen the muscles around your eyes and thus improve the condition of droopy eyelids. You would have to do them regularly, on daily basis, and you might have to wait a while before seeing some results.
These exercises do not guarantee a radical change, but they might help. If you have the patience and the motivation to do them, and with just a little of your time invested in doing them, you might find that they actually work for you. |
