I noticed I have droopy eyelids, which makes my face look older. I am not a fan of plastic surgery, I mean, I am afraid of it … can’t help it? I guess surgery would have easy and rather quick results, but I am still afraid. So… I would like to know if there are any exercises which would reduce my droopy eyelids.

Hi Shannon!

This is very common. I am 37 and already have similar problems- there is a genetic line… I guess this happens because the skin around the eyes is most fragile and very thin and sensitive. Besides I am one of those who speaks a lot with face… my mimic is (at least by my opinion) too intense. I have droopy eyelids (like my father).
So, I tried some exercises and I noticed improvement. It is very important you do this exercises regular – on DAILY BASIS!!!! And you should continue this for entire life! Ok, I know this sounds little stressing, but plastic surgery or exercise… it is your choice. Actually, you could scale down to three times a week, but after completing a month of daily exercises. While doing exercises, use some sort of cream.

Exercise No. 1: gently tone the muscles of the eyes by pressing two fingers on each side of your head, at the temples, while opening and closing your eyes rapidly. Repeat 5 times.
Exercise No. 2: Sit upright with your eyes closed and relaxed. While keeping your eyes closed the whole time, first look down and then look up as far as possible. Repeat this 10 times.
Exercise No. 3: Sit upright with your eyes closed and relaxed. Keep your eyes closed while lifting your eyebrows and stretching your eyelids down as far as possible. Keep in this position for 5 counts, relax and repeat 5 times.
I like this one most. Exercise No. 4: Sit upright with your eyes relaxed and open. Lift your eyebrows while closing your top eyelids until about halfway closed, then open your eyelid wide open until the white of your eye shows over your iris.
Exercise No. 5: Sit upright looking straight ahead with your eyes open. Look up then down, while keeping your head still. Then look left and right and repeat 10 times.

You’ll have to get use to this regime and it won’t be easy. You’ll have to be strong and really want to achieve your goal.

Good luck!

Huh, this is not a easy one. do you really do this every day?
i do not think i'll have the time for it. I'll try all first and see what I like best and then decide for one or two exercise. I'll see what will be the stamina Smile
