| I have problems with dry skin for a long time. I do moisturize it a lot, but nothing seems to help. I am willing to do anything to prevent this dryness, but maybe I am doing something wrong. What is, for example, best home remedy for dry skin? |

Hello.
First thing you should do is to clean your face with lukewarm water. Water shouldn’t be not hot nor cold, since both combinations dry up skin even more. Best is if you soak in lukewarm water for 15 minutes. If water even more dries your skin, try spraying your face with mineral water and clean it that way.
About showering and bathing. We all think we should do it every day, however, this is not true. Especially not true with bathing. Prefer showering than bathing and better do it with colder than warmer water.
You are doing the right thing when moisturizing skin. and moisturize it few times a day. This is best home remedy for dry skin. Some doctors think it is much more effective to apply moisturizer to damp skin immediately after bathing then to put it on completely dry skin. Pat with towel few times, your skin shouldn’t be wet, and then apply moisturizer.
Another thing is moisturizer that you use. Is it ok for dry skin? Check this on label with the ingredients part. Best is to have some ingredients in that will additionally moisturize your skin, like almond, aloe vera or something similar.
Hope this will help with home remedies for a start. |
