Hey!
This is true. People with hypersensitive skin should use hypoallergenic cosmetics, but what does hypoallergenic cosmetics mean? Did you know that there is no definition (formed by FDA) to explain hypoallergenic cosmetics. Logically hypoallergenic cosmetics would mean cosmetics which products contain fewer allergens and thus fewer allergic reactions. In this sense, hypoallergenic cosmetics should be gentler to skin, and more appropriate for hypersensitive skin.
As I said there are no federal standards what hypoallergenic cosmetics is, which leads to conclusion every company may claim to have hypoallergenic cosmetics without explaining or proving to the FDA. Interesting, don’t you think? And to come to think, that term hypoallergenic does have high market promoting value among cosmetics, while dermatologist say hypoallergenic cosmetics has very little meaning
When people decide for hypoallergenic cosmetics, they usually choose Vichy or something similar. |
