| my daughter is 15, and occasionally she wants to wear makeup. I allow her to, although I am worried about her wearing eyeliner. I heard that eye liner is bad for your eyes.... I never used one, so I am not talking from my own experience, but more on the basis of what I have heard. Is eyeliner truly bad for eyes? |

I have been using eyeliner ever since I started using makeup and so far I haven’t had any problems with eyeliners, like being bad for my eyes or skin around it. Of course, if she has sensitive eyes or wears contacts, she could experience some problems, but this could be also the case with mascara or any other eye makeup. I suggest she finds a good eyeliner, one that doesn’t smudge and she’ll be all right.
Also, my daughter is a bit older than her, but I know what is like when girls start using makeup: teach her not to share her makeup with her friends nor she uses their makeup- this way makeup and eyeliner may become contaminated and this could cause some problems.
Otherwise, I never heard eyeliner being bad for skin. As with any other makeup, she has to remove makeup/ eyeliner before going to sleep and everything will be just fine.
