I have problems with acne since I was a teenager, and I am 31 now. I tried many things to improve my skin, however nothing seems to help. Breakout always occur, no matter what I do or do not do.
I have no idea how to improve my skin, I though problems with acne untangle themselves, which is not the case with me- do you have any suggestions??? |

You should know by now that acne problems do not resolve by themselves. Often medical help is needed.
With acne it is important to be patient, and not to squeeze them, since this causes scarring, besides you transmit acne on your face. If squeezing pimples, than you must pierce it with a needle and gently squeeze the pus out using a tissue. Wash your hands and sterilize the needle in a flame beforehand.
Improving acne condition often takes a long time, even if you are guided by doctor’s help, not to mention you are totally on your own. People shouldn’t expect much improvement in first few weeks of treatment.
Another thing that is important is to wash your skin (affected area) twice a day (morning, evening) with pH-balanced and non-perfumed soap. Best is to choose anti-bacterial gentle face wash. Did I mention you shouldn’t use soaps for body on your face?
Also important is to avoid greasy makeup and clean makeup, especially powders off skin as soon as possible.
Tea tree oil has antibacterial properties, and might be worth trying if your acne is only mild- it has beneficial effects when dealing with mild acne. Apply a small amount of the 5% strength twice a day after washing, taking care to avoid your eyes. Otherwise, I suggest you to visit dermatologist and examine and discuss your condition.
I am sure there is solution and your skin could improve. It is just you have to be willful when dealing with acne. Truly, see dermatologist, for a start. |
