| Is laser surgery best solution for acne pitting and scaring. My brother has acne pitting and scaring, depressed scars (keloids), and we were considering option of laser surgery for his obvious scars. Is dermabrasion ok for keloid scars? |

Well, there are few solutions for acne pitting and scaring, keloid scars to be more precise.
Dermabrasion is the best option for removing keloid scars. Dermabrasion is more appropriate for smaller scars, because with dermabrasion are top layers of skin removed, this is why deeper (keloid) scars are very difficult to remove with dermabrasion.
Laser surgery would be definitely more appropriate for removing deeper acne pitting and scaring, and it gives good results, although couple treatments are needed to remove all the scars. |

| Both have advantages and disadvatages - laser and microdermabrasion. But if you're set on microdermabrasion, I suggest you read this first. body-philosophy.net/Microdermabrasion |
