| I read somewhere that lemons help dealing with acne. I am not quite sure how is that, and whether I should apply lemon juice on acne or should I drink lemon juice. I am also not sure on what principle does lemon juice help dealing with acne- is it because of vitamin C? |

No, it has nothing to do with vitamin C in lemon… lemons do not contain vitamin C to make a significant difference.
The theory of lemons and acne is drinking lemonade, which means adding half of spoon of lemon juice into glass of water. Every day, to improve situation with acne, you should drink at least 8 glasses of lemonade.
This method will not work overnight… it takes months before some improvement is evident. As I said in the beginning this lemons and acne theory has nothing to do with vitamin C- the point with this method is that lemons work as cleaners of the body and by drinking lemonades throughout the day, this flushes toxins out of the body. |

| Acne occurs most commonly during adolescence, and often continues into adulthood. In adolescence, acne is usually caused by an increase in testosterone, which people of both genders accrue during puberty. |
