Hexapeptides are a chain of six amino acids. They work by penetrating the deeper layers of the skin, interacting with molecules and boosting the production of collagen. Collagen, in return, fills up wrinkles, reducing their appearance and softening the skin.
Hexapeptides have been marketed under different company names, but the basis of all those products is acetyl hexapeptide-3. While some people praise it, some still suggest that not enough research has been done to evaluate its effectiveness or potential side effects.
With so many people reluctant to undergo corrective surgery, the search for the best topical anti-aging product is an ongoing trend among large companies. Giants such as L’Oreal or Revlon are no exception. It is left to a customer to decide which product to try.
We all want to keep our youthful look for as long as it is possible. While we may not all be quick to go under the knife, we have a variety of products professing fantastic results to choose from. It is hard not to be tempted. And though the effects of these may not be the same as those of Botox, you could find yourself satisfied with using some of them.
