I think luis xiv lived in 17th century… that was baroque, I think. Typical for baroque fashion, music, architecture were rich details… Thus also clothes were very pumped, rich. Women wore corsets, which gave then additionally thin waist, and they had deep decolletes. Their coats were long, huge and wide and very rich, made of sateen or other quality fabric, and of course extremely thin in waist. I am sure every person today imagines royal people wearing clothes popular in baroque. Actually, this clothes were more typical for rococo, ‘subcategory’ of baroque.
Women and men(!!!) wore wigs, and both begun wearing makeup- whitish powder, artificial spots on face… |
