I would like to know something more about plasma laser resulrfacing. I would appreciate if someone would give me some general information on plasma laser resurfacing, when is best used, what is post-operative care like. Can you please compare it to regular laser?
I appreciate every response! |

Plasma laser resurfacing is one of the most recent advances in the field of wrinkles, discoloration, sun damaged skin.
If comparing plasma laser resurfacing to regular, traditional laser, which uses light energy to target a specific component of skin, such as water, hemoglobin, or pigment, when plasma laser resurfacing is performed, plasma skin regeneration uses pulses of ionized inert nitrogen gas to deliver heat energy directly to the skin in a controlled, even manner. Because the flowing nitrogen gas flushes oxygen from the treatment area, there's no actual "burn", and the skin remains in place to act as a biologic dressing on the treated area.
Other traditional resurfacing procedures, like for example deep peels, dermabrasion, and other laser treatments do create open wounds. Plasma laser resurfacing does not create open wound and makes postoperative care much easier.
I hope this plasma laser resurfacing description will do for now. If you have any other question, please post it.
Best wishes! |
