Yes, do not worry, changes in skin are very normal during pregnancy. I would be smart talking to your doctor about this condition if you are worried, but I had same problems with skin dryness, although I also had very dry skin on face, which was peeling of sometimes (I have dry skin when not being pregnant).
You should moisturize your belly and breast to reduce dryness. I suggest you see your doctor and let her/him recommend cream that is most suitable, or let pharmacist (considering you’re pregnant) suggest what would be best. I think it is important moisturizer is neutral and unscented. Most of all, do not use any kind of over-the-counter medications to prevent dry skin! Just what your doctor or pharmacist suggest.
Do you shower/ bath with hot water? Do not since this might cause additional dryness and irritation. Also use very mild soaps, best are baby soaps. Another thing, which was very significant in my case, do not wash your hair while showering. My skin was dry during pregnancy mostly because shampoo irritated my skin, so I had to bed over tub and wash hair separately.
I hope this will help! |
