| Are acne in pregnancy due to pregnancy or are they caused by something else? I am 8 months pregnant and having milder breakouts on my face, mostly on chin. What can I do? Should I consult doctor? |

Consulting doctor is always a smart choice.
Skin changes during pregnancy are almost unavoidable. These changes (like breakouts in your case) disappear on their own after delivery. I do not know if you had problems with acne in your past, but maybe you know when dealing with acne, most effective way to treat them is to properly clean your skin. Good skin cleansing is best way to avoid and treat acne breakouts (during pregnancy or not). On the other hand, it is also important you do not wash your skin too often since you might dry it out.
What is most important when dealing with acne breakouts during pregnancy is to not take any acne medications!!! or over-the-counter treatments without checking with your doctor first. Some medications (retinoids), for example Accutane, are not safe for woman to use during pregnancy (breastfeeding) and even few months before pregnancy, since they might cause serious birth defects.
It would be best to consult doctor. I suggest just regular cleansing and obligatory- NO MEDICATIONS! |

| Doctor's said that it's okay to use those products. she said as long as i don't try to eat the stuff thinking my acne will go away, i'm okay. haha. she said it hasn't been 100% proven that it's bad for the baby. |

| I'd wait after you have the baby. If it still doesn't go away see the doctor. |
