| I have fair skin, but since I am in second trimester of pregnency, and since I am trying to avoid sun because of its negative effects as much as possible, and do not want to reject having nice ten at least in warmer months, I am using self tanners. So I have a question about pregnency and self tanners: may women during pregnency use self tanners? |

Ingredients in self-tanners are harmless, so it's fine to use them during pregnancy. Avoid using self tanners on nipples, particularly when breastfeeding.
On the other hand, I hope you do not enjoy in tanning beds. There is actually no proof they are dangerous to unborn baby, but they emit ultraviolet radiation, which is (as well as sun) dangerous for you. Some research prove that if visiting tanning booth only 10 times in a year can double your chances of develop melanoma.
But, as said above self tanners are ok to use, also during pregnecy. |
