I am 18 and having problems with acne. My mum wants me to buy proactive facial cleanser, but I am not sure. I have very sensitive skin, which most often react to these cleansers with redness and irritation, and I am afraid story will repeat with proactive and Proactive will be just money waist.
This is why my mum would like to know if anyone here tried Proactive and what were results?
Thank you!!! |

Ads say Proactive will clean your acne and blemishes in a few days. Do not buy that kind of stories or tell your mother not to! Cleaning face from acne is very long procedure and if you have problematic acne this process may take years.
Maybe proactive will help you, but definitely it will not clear acne in few days.
Considering you have sensitive skin, there are two options when using Proactive. First option is for those who do not have that sensitive skin, since benzoyl peroxide is the ingredient that helps cleaning acne. Option for those with sensitive skin is salicylic acid, which is gentler.
I think best option would be to see physician or dermatologist and maybe go on some medications.
