Radio facelift is not a surgical procedure and was originally developed from Thermage, which uses radio frequency waves to reconstruct the deep tissue layers beneath the skin. Trend of non-surgical facelifts is more and more popular and is most appropriate for people with minor signs of aging, and are not yet ready for full facelift.
Procedure of radio facelift is rather short- it takes about an hour, and same is with recovery time- it takes only few days to recover. Procedure looks like this: a radio frequency emitter is pressed up against your skin. These radio waves get past the outer skin layers and deliver heat energy to the muscles and tissues beneath, and that heat helps to contract skin layers and build up collagen levels. Since there is lots of heat involved, some cooling must be applied on the skin to prevent burning.
There are some side effects, and are mostly connected to this heat process, so patients despite coolers experience discomfort, swelling, and skin irritation in the following days, but all this can be treated with painkillers. Recovery time and procedure itself differs from surgical, casual facelift, but also effects differ and are with radio facelift not as drastic as with surgical facelift. But as said above radio facelift is more appropriate for younger patients with not so evident signs of aging.
Question about immediate results is a good question- with radio facelift some results are visible immediately, while the full results take a few months to develop, since the deep tissue layers must heal first.
Hope this helps you understand radio facelift...
