I have a question about sex poses during pregnancie. I am 9 weeks preganant. I have normal pregnancie, and no complications so far. I was ashamed to ask this question at the doctor's office... what posses are recommendable for sex during pregnancie? At this pregnancie stage, all seems the same as if i weren't pregnant, but i am afraid i am going to mess up something. So- sex poses during pregnancie- what poses are best in first trimester, what in second and what is best for sex poses during third trimester?
Thank you very much!!! |

I recommend you ask your doctor- and don;t be ashamed. She or he is there to answer all your questions, even the most embarrassed one. But, hey, isn't sex the most natural thing on this world? There would be not gyns if there was no sex |

I also think it's best to ask your docotr.
But here is something from my sex poses during pregnancie experience:
first of all- oral sex- if you like air blowing in your vagina... your partner shouldn't do it, because it can cause air embolism (a burst of air may block a blood vessel). It happens rarely, but it can happen, and it can be life threatening condition for you and the baby!!! So, avoid that. Otherwise oral sex is allowed, of course.
As you said, in the first trimester no evindent changes during sex poses. It was all practically the same- i mean considering comfort. During that time woman is not limited due to changes on her body. But it was different from emotional side- i experienced everything so much more... every touch was more intense.
However, as pregnancie progressed, i found it best to have sex on my hip, from behind of course, especially when the belly got bigger. You will also (at least i did) experience some changes considering sex drive- this is all normal.
Again, talk to your doctor about this! |

You should ask your doctor about certain poses, because there are some new things to know. For example, it seems logical to lie flat on your back, but it is not recommended! Your uterus might compress the veins in the back of your abdomen, and you may feel lightheaded or nauseous.
The rest is on you- find what suits you best and what feels most comfortable. |

| Ok, thanks for advice. I will go back, and make an appointment or ask if they have some sort of brochure or something like that. Thanks again. |

Here are some recommendable sex poses during pregnancie:
as someone above said: woman lies sideways- but tell your partner to be careful - to keep his weight off your uterus (esp when belly gets bigger)
you can lie on your back, but use your knees to lift your body- don't lie flat on your back. Perhaps you can use pillow or something to add support so you won't lie flat on your back.
If you get on the top of your partner, you should be able to control penetration- this sex position is very recommendable. Use face-to-face position if he is lying, or turn back if he sits on a chair or something similar.
But, as ladies said- you'll see what suits your most, just experiment and be gentle. |
