I didn't undergo slim4life diet, but I read something about it. Slim4life is national weight loss company, which embraces slim4life coaching. With process of coaching people learn things that are suppose to help them control their eating habits. This happens through transforming relationship to food, finding joy in other things but food and similar… I guess you read this in Louise Hay books All of it is mostly based on mental level- talking to people, who’d been there and done that, which maybe makes finding yourself and things that you love in life easier. You can see this is not just dieting, but also consulting and talking things through. Most important guiding in slim4life is eating with awareness, which lots of us forget (me too, I admit) We eat ‘emotional’, before bed time…huge snacks… and then think: was this just a snack, or was it luch??? Slim4life coaching is supposed to help you respect your body and balance your life.
Now, it is true I had not been consulting with slim4life coaches, but I think this is lots of mambo-jumbo. Someone is supposed to tell you to respect your body and balance your life and you just do it? I don’t think so… btw, they do not tell you are beautiful and should respect yourself for free. No. They charge no less that $ 400 fee for six, two hours long sessions. How great are they? |

Hi All,
In response to the question about the program all I can say is That my wife (Connie) and myself (Dave) have been on the Slim4Life Program since 13 Jan 2006 and my wife has lost a total of 40 Pounds and I have lost 68. We have eaten all the things we like (Chicken, Steaks, Ground Beef, Turkey, fish, etc, etc). Granted they have been some things that have been omitted Pork, Sugar, etc, etc. I am not here to and I will not belittle any other program that is in existence as I have never tried them so I do not consider myself an expert. I can tell you, yes, they are expensive, but I do believe at last check there was no plan that would fall under the heading of "cheap"and I believe they all have counsellors too. As for my support I think they are great and I, personnally, don't think I could have come this far without them. Again, this is just my own opinion and as everybody knows opinions are like behinds, everyone has one. I have done not one second of exercising. As far as I have seen is the plans basic plan is to teach me the right things to eat and the right way to eat. Something that we should have learned about, yet haven't or we wouldn't be trying to lose the weight now. All I can say is it has worked for me, I can't promise anybody else anything. No matter what, get healthy. Good Luck!! Dave |
