| Smartlipo laser machine has few advantages comparing to the traditional method. First of all incisions are smaller and thus scarring is minimal and in smartlipo laser machine is less bleeding. In short: minimal bruising and numbness and shorter recovery time. Another big advantage is better skin contraction, which means even some people that were once turned down for traditional liposuction due to their lack of skin firmness may no qualify because smartlipo laser machine produces much better skin contraction. |

My neighbour had Smarlipo.
comparing to standard liposuction- smartlip takes one hour, od course depending on the size of the area treated.
The main advantage is minimal invasion of the procedure, which means that patients can return to their daily activities after procedure. techinacally- this is possible, because swelling and other side effects are significalnly reduced comparing to traditional method- laser namely has therapeutic effects. However, docotrs do recommended patients to rest. |

| I had Smartlipo done in Kansas City just a month ago. I would not have been a canidate for Liposuction because I was not obese. When you have less fat to remove the laser is the better way to go b/c the doctor can scult the area being performed on. The other advantage is the skin will tighten from the heat of the laser. Basically the laser is for people who have localized areas of fat. |

I have actually had Smartlipo. My understanding is that this procedure offers minimal downtime and bruising compared to the traditional form of lipo. This is very true, I had hardly any bruising, my incisions were tiny and I was back at work the very next day. I hope this helps. Feel free to ask me anything else I did not answer! "CityGrlKS" is right about skin getting tighter after smart lipo, it is due to exposure of area just underneath the skin layer to laser. This has positive impact on development of collagen, which is decreasing with ageing. It is kind of good side effect of smart lipo.
