What is smartlipo?

Smartlipo is another expression for laserlipolysis treatment.
Smartlipo is a technique that destroys fat deposits in specific areas of the body. Smartlipo uses laser which destroys membranes of fat cells. Duration of procedure depends on area treated, but in average takes about an hour. After the procedure you can return to your usual daily activities, although it is advised to to avoid strenuous sports, hot showers for 10 days, or intense massage for 4-5 weeks. There are almost no side effects- rarely bruising and swelling, since laser which coagulates the blood vessels immediately, reduces trauma beneath the skin immediately.
Some patients notice results immediately, but most of them after 2 or 3 months.
Biggest advantage of Smartlipo is reduced recovery time and minimal side effects after the treatment.

Hi! Yes, I have actually had the procedure done....it was amazing!! I never thought i could get such great results with minimal downtime and swelling. I lead a busy and active life. Therefore I wanted something that would give me great results and get me back in the normal swing of things soon. With Smartlipo, I was back to work the very next day! I even went out to eat that same night with my boyfriend. I highly recommend going to visit Dr. Bergeron over at the Skin and Vein Laser Center in Houston. He was so nice, and very easy to talk to. Unlike other doctors, he really spent time answering all of my questions. He even introduced me to some of his staff that have had the procedure done. They were all very comforting and informative. I had Smartlipo done also, it gave me real results without down time. I had my procedure done 6-25-07 at Image Aesthetics in Overland Park, KS. My stomach is now tight and flatter, it's like I've got the stomach I had when I was a twenty-something-before my 2 kids! The procedure was done with little pain and the next day I felt well enough to go out and do all of my errands. The incisions the doctor made were really small so they healed without stitches. The staff was nice and they made me feel comfortable during the procedure (you are awake the whole time). I would suggest this procedure for anyone looking to lose extra fat that just buldges. I wore a compression garment that they gave me for 48 hours and it was really easy to hide under my clothes. Smartlipo gave me sexy confidence back that I didn't think I could ever have again! A friend of mine had Smartlipo and she was so happy with the results. She's sexier and more confident and I'm jealous of her already. I'm planning on gettting one myself.

so if you will compare smartlipo to a conventional lipo, which would hurt more? and which would cost less?

smartlipo costs more but conventional lipo recovery time is far longer than smartlipo.

I've had Smartlipo already. The only thing that I think could still be improved there is teh cost. Otherwise, I love everything about it. Believe me, it works.

Smartlipo is sometimes also referred to as laser liposuction or laser lipolysis due to its use of laser energy to remove excess fat cells from the body. Before the smartlipo procedure is done, the doctor marks the targeted areas and then a local anaesthetic is applied to them.
