| is swimming safe during pregnansy? I was thinking starting swimming, as this is not so heavy exercise, and a friend recommended me i could swim during pregnansy, since swimming during pregnasy is supposed to be recommendable. I haven't talked to my doctor about this yet, but it seems to me it would be all right. Did anyone practice swimming during pregnansy? I would swimm in a pool- could chlorinated water hurt my baby?? |

I am not sure whether chlorinated water could hurt your baby- i never heard or read about reaserch on this topic, but chlore somehow disinfects water, thus it might seem that unchlorinated pool would pose a grater risk than chlorinated.
I swam in chlorinated pool on almost daily basis, and it was great! As long as chemicals are monitored, swimming in a chlorinated pool isn't a problem at all. Too bad i don't have that time anymore. I think it's a great idea- swimming during pregnansy. But, ask for your doc's opinion. I think doctor will tell you the same- but better safe than sorry. |
